Stirling Firm Wins Investors In Young People Award

A Stirling family firm has been presented with the prestigious Investors in Young People Award.

Perfect Service Solutions was delighted to receive accreditation for the accolade which focuses on an employer’s recruitment and retention of young people.

Andrea Fife, the company’s People Manager, said:

“We’re very proud to receive this award for the work we’ve done in supporting the employment of young people in our community.

“We have employees who have been with us since they were in their teens and who, following training and development over the years, are now in senior management roles.

“Achieving this accreditation means a lot to our staff and we take pride in being recognised as an employer of choice.”

Launched in July 2014, Investors in Young People accreditation recognises and supports organisations across Scotland which demonstrate a true commitment to the development of young people.

Peter Russian, Chief Executive of Investors in People Scotland, said:

“This is a fantastic achievement for Perfect Service Solutions and marks them out as an employer of choice.

“The benefits of recruiting and developing young people are countless and include the creation of a talent pool for the future, new and increased skills in areas such as IT and social media, fresh eyes and mind-sets into business operations along with enthusiasm and unique talents.”

Perfect Service Solutions, which provides specialist cleaning services, had to undergo a stringent assessment process before achieving the accreditation.

This included ensuring a clear strategy for young people was in place and demonstrating support for young employees as they transitioned into the workplace.

Perfect Service Solutions provides specialist deep cleaning services and ventilation solutions for the food and facilities management industries and its high-profile clients include catering providers Sodexo and fast food giant McDonald’s.
